The standard mouth mirrors are mirrored on the reverse side with a triple pure silver layer. The mirror image is bright, but can produce so-called “ghost images” or double images. With a simple mirror coating on the rear side of the mirror glass, there are two reflections, one on the mirror coating and another – but weak reflection – on the surface of the glass.
The silver coating is protected by a copper coating and additionallycoating and additionally sealed with a sealed by a protective lacquer.
